WHAT SHOULD I WEAR DURING A CRYOTHERAPY SESSION?
You are provided thermal gloves and socks, cryo booties and a comfy robe. Dry undergarments must be worn during your experience.
Makeup: You can still benefit from our treatment while wearing makeup, but for optimal results we recommend removing it and cleaning your skin so more natural light can reach your cells.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO CRYOTHERAPY?
Survey results indicate participants report they experience benefits after 3-5 consecutive cryotherapy sessions. Many participants find that to maintain these benefits, they need to do cryotherapy 2-3 times a week. We recommend that clients participate in consistent cryotherapy sessions.
SHOULD I DO CRYOTHERAPY BEFORE OR AFTER EXERCISE?
Participants who utilize cryotherapy before exercise claim they experience increased energy, endurance, and flexibility. Participants who utilize cryotherapy after exercise claim they experience faster rejuvenation.
WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT FOR CRYOTHERAPY?
Anyone age 18 or older can enjoy cryotherapy if they meet the height and health requirements. Clients under the age of 18 must have parental consent and a guardian present at the time of the session. The minimum age is 14 years old.
ARE THERE ANY HEALTH CONCERNS TO CONSIDER BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN A CRYOTHERAPY SESSION?
Anyone with the following conditions should not participate:
• Uncontrolled high-blood pressure
• Raynaud’s Syndrome
• Allergy to cold
• Prior heart attack
• Unstable heart pain
• Disease of the blood vessels
• History of blood cots
• Uncontrolled seizure disorder
• Nerve pain in feet and legs
• Open sores
• Any disease or condition with increased sensitivity to cold
IS RED LIGHT THERAPY SAFE?
Red light therapy has been rigorously studied and tested for decades, from the labs of NASA to the leading medical research institutions in the world. In 2013, several of the world’s leading dermatologists and clinical researchers from Harvard Medical School, MIT, and a leading Indian research institute published a peer-reviewed meta analysis noting red light therapy’s “noninvasive nature and almost complete absence of side effects.”
Our machine uses only the red and near infrared wavelengths that are clinically-proven to be effective and safe. However, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider for specific questions about your health conditions.
WHAT IF I HAVE BOTOX?
Botox and other chemical fillers shouldn’t be affected. However, the usage of our machine is designed to increase your skin’s natural collagen production, so you may find you no longer need Botox injections. Consult with your healthcare provider if you have additional questions about how other skin treatments interact with red light therapy.
CAN CHILDREN USE RED LIGHT THERAPY AT HHI?
Red light therapy has been found safe, effective, and free of major side-effects in hundreds of clinical studies, including many involving teenagers or younger children, and we’ve never heard reports of problems with Joovv users and their kids. However, out of caution, we recommend you consult with your healthcare provider if you have questions.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
It varies by person, their health and fitness challenges, how consistent they are with treatments, and what size device and coverage they use. Users have reported acute energy, mood, performance, and recovery benefits with each use. Many see benefits like reduced inflammation and joint pain in a matter of days, or weeks. More full-body health benefits like skin health, fat loss, and other long-term improvements may take 2-3 months of consistent use.
